Asparagus Dish

Designed by Nancy Hilborn in East Cambridge, ON. Nancy has been working with clay for over 30 years. Born and raised in Toronto, she studied her craft at the University of Waterloo and the Ontario College of the Arts. Her business is family run, involving her husband and daughter to run the day-to-day operations. Each piece is made by hand and is accompanied by a small "description card" with a funny story, cute saying, or suggestions for how to use the piece. We love her work not only because it is functional, but also because of its elegant, organic forms and playful style.

"Personally, I hate asparagus so I can use this piece for Brussels sprouts. Oh, I forgot I hate them too. Ok, then corn on the cob. I guess it's versatile as well as functional."
